CAG will be focused solely on the acquisition and servicing of the largest and most sophisticated clients globally. The unit will be involved in leveraging and enhancing the existing Julius Baer platform, adding third-party products and acting as the client's advisor and liaison with other units in the bank and third parties. CAG will work with clients on their investment, financing, capital market and other banking needs.
Alex W. Widmer, CEO Private Banking, stressed the need for such a unit: "Julius Baer already has some of the world's most sophisticated wealthy clients; CAG will help us service those clients better by allowing the team to focus solely on the segment and its needs."
Fareed Asadi joins Julius Baer from Credit Suisse. He will take up his position on
3 July 2006. He will be based in Dubai and report directly to the CEO of the Private Banking division.
