"Our customers both in the Middle East & Africa region and globally realize the value of color documents, but many worry about color features being used excessively and incurring unnecessary costs," said Dan Smith, Office Product Manager, Xerox Middle East & Africa. "These new systems deliver impressive image quality, easy network scanning features, and the tools to ensure their color capabilities are used in a cost-effective manner."
These latest systems from Xerox print and copy at up to 40 pages per minute in color and 55 ppm in black and white, and 50 ppm in color and 65 ppm in black and white, respectively.
With the fastest scan speeds in their class of up to 50 ppm color and 80 ppm black and white, these new WorkCentre devices can concurrently process multiple jobs like scanning and printing, unlike machines from competitors. Using integrated network scanning and faxing, users can print, scan and instantly deliver their documents to anywhere in the world at the push of a button.
Cost Control
The WorkCentre 7655 and 7665 are among the first digital color multifunction systems equipped with Xerox Standard Accounting, free software that monitors the number and type of pages printed. Network administrators and IT managers can access Xerox Standard Accounting through the Web for a printable report that displays scan and fax activity, and shows how many pages each employee has printed and copied in both color and black and white.
Enhanced Images and Productivity
The WorkCentre 7655 and 7665 deliver the highest image quality in their class. Enhanced print resolution of 2400 x 2400 dots per inch produces crisp images and fine line detail. This unmatched quality is achieved using Xerox's Emulsion Aggregation High Gloss toner, which significantly reduces the amount of toner needed by transferring nearly 100 percent of the toner to the paper. That translates into real cost savings and reduced waste.
Equipped with large, full-color touch-screens, it is easier than ever to select various printing, copying, scanning and faxing options on both devices. Additionally, the Xerox-exclusive Automatic Print Around feature eliminates "traffic jams" by immediately prioritizing selected jobs over others in the queue that require special sizes or types of paper.
Easy to Manage, Easy to Protect
With all three products, Xerox's CentreWare® Internet Services desktop management software allows IT administrators or office workers to remotely clone, configure and manage the systems. Xerox's SMART eSolutions software automatically reports how many prints, copies, scans and faxes are completed on the system. Bi-directional print drivers on the WorkCentre 7655 and 7665 alert office workers if the system is running low on resources or has encountered an error, while workers are still at their desk.
The new multifunction systems offer advanced security features enabling customers to restrict access, track usage and protect confidential information that flows through the devices. The WorkCentre 7655 and 7665 multifunction systems encrypt data traveling on the network, ensuring that unauthorized viewers do not have access to scanned documents en route to file servers or other network repositories.
These new systems will be available across the Middle East & Africa region from 1st August 2006, through Xerox resellers and distributors.
