Commercial Bank of Dubai appoints new Chief Executive

Commercial Bank of Dubai announced the appointment of Mr. Peter Baltussen as Chief Executive, following Mr. Omar Abdel Rahim Leyas who recently retired from the Bank's services as Chief Executive.

Welcoming the new Chief Executive, H.E. Ahmed Humaid Al Tayer, Chairman of Commercial Bank of Dubai said, "Mr. Baltussen has been a Career Banker with ABN Amro Bank for over 18 years in a number of senior managerial positions, the most recent being Managing Director and CEO of Banque de Neuflize-Paris. Prior to that, Mr. Baltussen was the Managing Director and CEO of Saudi Hollandi Bank in Saudi Arabia".

H.E. Al Tayer added: "Mr. Baltussen brings with him a wealth of general banking experience ranging from Corporate and Retail banking services, Capital Markets, Credit, Treasury and Cash Management. He will be a vital addition to our qualified cadres and his extraordinary skills and vast general management expertise will boost the growth of Commercial Bank of Dubai in the coming years.
