EPAA delegation visits Dubai Municipality

The Health and Environment Education Office at Dubai Municipality received a delegation from the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, Sharjah.

The visit was part of Sharjah's 7th environmental education program of 2006. The visit is also comes as an exchange between the Municipality and other organizations.

Sara Ibrahim Al Sayegh, Head of Health and Environment Education Office, Sheikha Saif Al Mansouri, Education Officer, Mohammad Hassan Al Numan, Education Officer, and Abdul Aziz Bashir Al Sheikh, Food Inspector in the Food Control Section of the Public Health Department received the delegation.

Al Mansouri gave a brief presentation on the activities of the Health and Environment Education Office and said the office is responsible for making programs to take care of health and envirment in schools, public places, co-operative societies and clubs in order to achieve a high standard of awareness in this field.

She said the office is also responsible for issuing publications (work papers, films, booklets, etc.) on environmental and health issues. These publications are being used in educational programs and meetings and for organizing activities related to local and international occasions.

The delegation also took a tour of the Projects Exhibition in the Municipality to get a brief on the status of the projects that were currently being undertaken by the Municipality as well as the old projects and future projects.
