The project opens its door to 25,000 tenants by end 2006.
Hashim Al Dabal, CEO, Dubai Properties, said: 'The entire JBR project will be ready at the same time, and will reflect world class quality standards in construction, exterior and interior design.'
Al Dabal applauded the commitment of the four contractors - Arabtec, Al Shafar General Contracting, Al Habtoor Engineering and Saleh Construction - in completing the project on time, in accordance with contractual obligations.
Highlighting Dubai Properties' priority to provide premium facilities and services to its customers, Al Dabal said: 'A number of improvements have been made using top quality material to ensure that the final finish meets with our customers' high expectations.'
Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo, a well-known architectural, planning and consulting firm specialising in hospitality, entertainment and leisure, is providing consultancy services on various construction aspects, including the architectural design.
Six other companies, including Hyder, Arif & Bintoak, Arenco, Atkins, Dar and RMJM, are supervising the implementation of quality measures through all phases of the project.
Mace International Ltd. is overseeing the project management, cost management, and facilities management of the entire development.
The sprawling 1.7 kilometer waterfront community of Jumeirah Beach Residence is the largest single phase residential development in the world. It includes 36 towers high rise towers above a 3-4 level podium structure with 4 hotels; the largest district cooling plant outside of the US; bridges and extensive infrastructure works.
