Etisalat to spend $1bn in Egypt

Etisalat is to spend around $1bn setting up a new mobile phone company in Egypt, following its capture of the country's third cellular licence, according to Mohammed Omran, the company's CEO, cited in Cairo based business daily Al Alam Al Youm. Etisalat won the tender on July 4 with a bid of $2.9bn.
