DTCM Manager Events and Chairman of Food Surprises week committee, Mr. Marwan bin Beyat, said, "The programme has remained a big draw with the Dubai residents and visitors from different nationalities. This year, the numbers of cakes are more and we expect more proceeds to go to the charity organization."

Mr. Abdin Nasrallah, General Manager Hospitality Bab Al Shams resort, part of the Dubai-based Jumeirah hospitality group, said, "Chefs drawn from all the properties operated by Jumeirah will be involved with the event. Each cake will have 10 portions."

The figure 3065 represents the total number of rooms available with the hotels and resorts operated by Jumeirah in the UAE and overseas. Jumeirah's iconic properties include Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Madinat Jumeirah, Wild Wadi and Bab Al Shams.

Mr. Marwan said, "The event gels well with the cosmopolitan population of Dubai. This proves, without any doubts, our commitment to charity even in times of our moments of happiness."
