BBC, CNN ad dispute

The BBC has upset rival broadcaster CNN after using the latter's strapline for its own marketing campaign for its new Arabic e-newsletter, reported Campaign Middle East. The BBC used CNN's trademarked 'Be the first to know' at the end of its ads, which were produced by Jordanian agency Mint. The adverts were all in Arabic and had the CNN strapline at the end.
