Another great week of Dubai Summer Surprises at The Market

The events are designed to be both fun and educational and run from Thursday to Saturday of each week. The first two weeks covered the themes Ice Surprises and Arts Surprises respectively, and were extremely well received by both children and adults.

"Each week we'll be converting the Market into a venue for live entertainment, music and dancing," says Lynda Soppelsa, Property Manager of Green Community, who manages The Market. "There will also be competitions, workshops and numerous interactive programmes in keeping with that particular week's theme."

Over the past week, Food Surprises has continued to be a major success with visitors. The broad variety of workshops included short bread and play dough moulding, fruit and vegetable carving, plate painting and face painting.

Next week, visitors can look forward to Adventure Surprises, which will include an obstacle course relay, kite making, a workshop on basic juggling and balloon twisting, and making your own bandanna, pendant or pirate patch.

The diverse series of events will continue until the conclusion of DSS on September 1. The forthcoming line up will include Adventure Surprises, Cartoon Surprises, Nature Surprises, Knowledge Surprises, Flower Surprises, Heritage Surprises and Back to School Surprises.
