'At a time when international deal flow from Egypt is increasing at a spectacular pace we are delighted to return to Cairo to hold our benchmark financial conference. We are grateful to HE Prime Minister Dr Ahmed Nazif and his economic team for their continued support of this conference which leads the market in international events in and on Egypt,'
said Richard Banks, Middle East director at Euromoney Conferences.
Under the lead of a reformist government, Egypt's economy is on the move and there are plenty of deals in the pipeline. Landmark transactions in the past 12 months have included: Telecom Egypt's privatisation, Italcementi's acquisition of Suez Cement, the acquisition of EAB by Calyon, OTH's pioneering Wind/Weather deal, and Ripplewood's purchase of 18.7% of CIB. These and other transactions will be discussed at the event.
Egyptian governmental leaders, from the Prime Minister on down, will outline their plans for 2007 at the Euromoney Conference. Attendees at the conference will be Egyptian ministers and officials, plus Egyptian partners, investors and financiers and international direct and financial investors.
