Saudi Arabia PWC lays the foundations for 40,000 sq.m Logistics Services Complex in Riyadh

Saudi Arabia Public Warehouses Company for Logistics Services (PWC Logistics) broke ground recently on construction of its 40,000 sq.m. logistics complex in Sulay district, southeast of Riyadh.
The complex is its first in the Kingdom. "We currently offer 3PL logistics contracts and will provide 4PL logistics when the network of warehouses is completed," Al-Amoudi said. "Our services will include warehousing, local distribution, freight and customs clearance services, and inland transportation within the Kingdom and the GCC countries, in addition to other distinctive services like packaging, assembly, pricing, labeling and inventory control."
The company will also provide technical assistance on the advanced technology involved all these services, Al-Amoudi added.
The strategy is to develop a network of integrated services linking various cities in the Kingdom and in every country in the region.
"Having started logistics services operations in the first quarter of 2005, the company today operates in almost all the Gulf countries. In addition to its main logistic center, it has a regional center linking all local centers, making it convenient for clients to efficiently store and transfer their products to different parts of the region," said Rod Lancaster Country Manager for PWC Logistics, Saudi Arabia.
The complex, to be built to the highest international standards, will include warehouses, cold stores (chillers and freezers) and temperature-controlled sections, truck maintenance yards, staff accommodation, mosque and public utility buildings, said Senior Project Manager Eng. Mazen Majzoub.
