The Tabbie Awards, organised by Trade, Association and Business Publications International in Cleveland, USA, are internationally recognised awards for excellence in trade publishing. They attract hundreds of entries each year from around the globe.
The judging panel for the Tabbie Awards comprised 17 international editors and art directors. When commenting on Construction Week's success the panel said: "Strong headlines, excellent graphics and a professional, journalistic writing style enhance the layout and design of this publication and convey an image of strength, prestige and credibility."
Construction Week was launched in 2003 and is the only weekly publication covering the construction industry in the Middle East. "We are delighted that the sterling work of the Construction Week team has been acknowledged amid such strong competition at such prestigious awards" said Walid Akawi, CEO of ITP Business Publishing, publisher of Construction Week. "In under three years Construction Week has gone from strength to strength to become the region's most authoritative publication on the booming construction industry and for that to be recognised internationally in this way is a credit to the entire team," Akawi continued.
