Total 'astonished' at Saudi

France's Total says it is 'astonished' that Saudi Arabia has decided to block a $3.5bn natural gas pipeline from Qatar to the UAE, in a last minute objection to the eight-year old project, according to Bloomberg. It is not the first time the Kingdom has interfered with regional energy projects, blocking an earlier pipeline project between Qatar and Kuwait. But Abu Dhabi's Dolphin Energy says it has not received any objections about the project.
