World famous cartoon characters Tom and Jerry set off DSS celebrations at Al Ghurair City

Al Ghurair City, Dubai's premier shopping destination, has brought to Dubai, Tom and Jerry, the colorful cartoon characters from Warner Brothers that have thrilled children for years, as part of its Dubai Summer Surprises celebrations.
The two toons are currently doing the rounds at the mall from 4pm to 8:30pm, bringing smiles on the faces of surprised children. They will be performing four 20-minute shows daily at the mall till 21st July before stepping out and making way for another set of cartoon characters to entertain children at Al Ghurair City. The show times are daily at 4:00pm, 5.30pm, 6.45pm and 8:00pm.
The line-up of cartoon favourites at Al Ghurair City during DSS also includes Aladdin, Woody Woodpecker and the Power Puff Girls.
Mukta Sabharwal, a spokesperson for Al Ghurair City, said: "The high quality of entertainment, and the variety of characters that we will be introducing is aimed at satisfying the needs of children visiting Al Ghurair City for a range of fun activities. This type of entertainment not only enriches the shopping experience but also makes it memorable in the minds of visitors. With so many people from different nationalities visiting the mall everyday, Al Ghurair City is happy to present these lovable characters, who will make even adults become children for awhile".
Al Ghurair City is hosting numerous other fun activities in addition to offering a range of the world's best brands covering a wide range of merchandise including fashion, jewellery, watches and textiles, plus a variety of food catering to different tastes at its multi-cuisine food court.
The line-up of activities has been arranged to provide families a fun atmosphere during each DSS "Surprises", where children can showcase their entertaining and educational skills at interactive science booths, ice cream competitions, and much more.
Al Ghurair City is offering DSS shoppers spending a minimum amount, or multiples thereof,stand the chance to win up to Dhs.5 million in prizes under the Shopping Escapade promotion organised by the Dubai Shopping Malls Group. Lucky shoppers can win Dhs. 50,000 daily and a grand prize of a luxury apartment at the end of DSS in September.
