  • PRESS RELEASE

E-Vision, the UAE's premier cable TV provider, and Arab Digital Distribution (ADD), announced today that the 2006 FIFA World Cup has been successful on all aspects.

The packages offered through E-Vision and (ADD) received an overwhelming response from customers all over the emirates; thus contributing significantly to the overall sales of the package in the region.

Humaid Rashid Sahoo, Chief Executive Officer, said:

"The demand on the 2006 FIFA World Cup Package from E-Vision and (ADD) has increased five times with comparison to the demand during the World Cup 2002. It is a clear reflection of the lead position E-Vision currently enjoys within the UAE Cable Market. The impressive response that we have received to the World Cup package is a testimony to the high level of credibility established by the company among customers in the UAE."

He added: "The offering of the FIFA World Cup package complements our objective of delivering the most popular sports events and activities to our customers. E-Vision selectively chooses its offerings in line with all its customer feedback and requests to guarantee that they completely comply with our customers' needs and requirements."

E-Vision's most advanced digital network has not only succeeded in achieving complete customer satisfaction, it has also proven a piracy free environment for ADD to distribute its package.

Abdul Aziz Yamani, Chief Executive Officer - ADD, said: "The sales for the World Cup package overshot our initial target, and the UAE market contributed to a significant share of the total sales. We would like to thank E-Vision for their tremendous effort in installing decoders for customers. The installation process, relative to the overwhelming demand for the world cup package, was conducted in a record time, and this would not have come true without the joint efforts of employees at both E-Vision and ADD."
