Al Habbai has enhanced his first-hand understanding of the tourism industry with training programmes in the UAE, India, Sri Lanka, UK, Thailand and Pakistan.
On his role with Dubailand, Al Habbai said: "I'm really pleased to be joining a project that has quickly gained international investor references. I am looking forward to working with the sales and marketing department to introduce innovative marketing approaches and robust operational processes that will accelerate business growth, and help establish Dubai as the leading tourist destination for the Middle East."
Al Habbai holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Salem University, West Virginia, US.
Dubailand is being developed over 3 billion sq ft of land, and will include 45 mega projects and 200 sub projects. The region's most ambitious leisure venture will be twice the size of Walt Disney World Resort, currently the largest collection of amusement parks in the world.
Designed as a full featured city with six thematic zones, Dubailand aims to attract 15 million tourists to Dubai by 2010.
