New CEO of Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited to focus on enhancing preferential status of brand

In a move to further expand its business and grow market share in the Kingdom, Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited has appointed regional payments industry expert Priyan L. Attygalle as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to spearhead its operations in the country.
Attygalle joins American Express from HSBC where he was Regional Head of Credit Cards for the Middle East, based in the UAE. During his 15 year tenure in HSBC, he has worked closely with partners in the cards industry and also served as Director of Reward Management Middle East, issuers of Airmiles loyalty programme. Before moving to the Middle East, he held various senior management positions in HSBC in the area of Credit Cards, Support Services and Trade Finance.
Attygalle takes over from his predecessor, Mazin Khoury, who has relocated to Cairo to manage American Express's Egypt and North Africa operations.

Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited has significantly expanded the services offered to its Cardmembers and merchants in the Kingdom by establishing a fully autonomous servicing centre in Riyadh. The company issues a variety of Charge and Credit Cards billed in Saudi Riyals or US Dollars, including the Personal Card (Green), Blue, Gold Card and Platinum Card. Amex (Saudi Arabia) Limited also offers comprehensive Expense Management Solutions to companies of all sectors through its Corporate Cards.
