Gulf Iron and Steel Conference, an event that will throw light on several crucial issues relating to the regional steel industry, will be held alongside the SteelFab Exhibition at Expo Centre Sharjah from January 29-31, 2007.
The Conference will be addressed by some of some of the world's most well known professionals in the steel industry. Besides the Conference, other major highlights of the SteelFab exhibition are the product presentations, welding seminar and the welding competition that will be held on the sidelines.
SteelFab, which will be in its third edition next year, is the region's largest display of Steel, Fasteners, Accessories, Surface Preparation, Machinery and Tools, Welding and Cutting, Finishing and Testing equipment, and Coatings and Anti-Corrosion material.
SteelFab is considered to be the Middle East's only trade platform for manufacturers and distributors of machine tools, welding machinery, consumables and other items related to the steel working business, and organizations and companies involved in the steel fabrication industry.
The second edition of SteelFab, held from January 22-24 this year, hosted 212 leading companies and brands from 29 countries. The 2007 edition of SteelFab will see a significant increase in participation from the number of brands, direct participants, and national pavilions, compared to the last edition.
Among those who would be visiting the SteelFab exhibition and participating in the Conference and the seminars on the sidelines are Fabrication yard managers, production managers, procurement managers, estimators, planning and design engineers from across the globe, especially the Middle East and North Africa region. The last edition attracted 3,755 key steel industry personnel from 44 countries.
SteelFab is organised by Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
