  • PRESS RELEASE

The President of Sony Ericsson Miles Flint welcomed feedback from the region's local consumers when he visited Dubai last week.

"Dubai's phenomenal growth has enabled it to become one of the region's most dynamic markets. As a whole, the Middle East is one of Sony Ericsson's most exciting markets, so this visit provided a great opportunity to be able to meet with the region's consumers first hand," said Flint, President of the mobile communications company since June 2004. "It was a valuable and enjoyable experience to hear personally what the local market had to say," he added.

While in the Emirate, Flint spent time at Sony Ericsson's stand at Dubai's iconic Mall of the Emirates where he demonstrated some of the key features of the company's latest phone and obtained valuable feedback directly from the public.

Flint demonstrated features of the K800i, Sony Ericsson's newest camera phone on the market, to the rapt mall-goers, who were also delighted to be able to meet the global president up close and even had the opportunity to get their picture taken with him.

"The K800 is the first handset to carry the Cyber-shot™ brand, a true mark of imaging quality. A highly capable mobile phone with an integrated 3.2 Megapixel digital camera with Autofocus, Xenon flash and BestPic™ - Sony Ericsson's unique imaging technology allows you to capture exactly the moment you desire,"

explained Flint to the crowd at the shopping mall. "The K800 combines advanced image capabilities with high speed data transfer, making it the perfect tool for shooting and sharing high quality pictures and videos."

The Cyber-shot™ phone is aimed to create a new lifestyle of 'image communication' by combining Sony Ericsson's unique mobile applications and Sony digital imaging technologies. Their aim has always been to innovate and create new values for the mobile life, and with the Cyber-shot™ phone. Anyone can enjoy an entirely new level of visual communication -taking quality pictures of anything, anytime and anywhere, in order to share their precious moments with others.
