Airlines make $10bn Boeing orders

Emirates, Qatar Airways and a third as yet unnamed Gulf airline are set to make orders worth $10bn with aircraft manufacturer Boeing, at the UK's Farnborough International Air Show, which starts today, reported Gulf News. Qatar Airways is believed to be spending $4.9bn on 20 Boeing 777s, while Emirates is to boost its cargo fleet with 10 Boeing 747-8 freighters.
