Jordan drug efforts praised

Jordan's efforts in combating drug trafficking have been praised by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the country also has no major problem with drug abuse, reported the Jordan Times. Since the start of the year, the government has seized stimulants, hashish and heroin worth an estimated $11.4m. The UNODC is currently implementing various programmes in Jordan including drug demand reduction and the treatment of addiction.
