UAE freight prices set for hike
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, July 17 - 2006 at 09:03
Air freight transportation prices could be set for a hike later this year in the wake of escalating oil prices, reported Emirates Today. Mounting geopolitical tensions could push oil above $80 a barrel this week and, according to Amer Dajani, the Director of Middle East Operations for PWC Logistics, a 25% increase in transportation costs could be on the cards. Fuel surcharges have already doubled since last year.
