Food Expo 2006 slated in Oman this December

"We are glad to announce that, after last year's highly successful event, we have decided to organize another Food Expo this year in response to the growing requirements of the local food industry," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the leading event management company in the sultanate.

Paul pointed out that Food Expo 2006 will showcase everything directly related to the operations of all sectors of the food industry. These include the food products required by groceries and hypermarkets, the catering and kitchen equipment needed by hotels and restaurants, the farming supplies and services for agricultural firms, and the food processing technologies used by food manufacturers.

According to Paul, the exhibition is the ideal venue for companies planning to introduce new products into the Omani market and those aiming to make inroads into the lucrative food business in the Middle East region. He stressed that Food Expo 2006 likewise offers companies the opportunity to present their products directly to their target clients.

"As a major trade show for food industry professionals, Food Expo 2006 will bring together food importers, wholesalers and distributors, F&B managers, hotel operators and purchasing managers under one roof," Paul stressed. "The exhibition thus offers a perfect platform where business deals can be initiated, negotiated and finalized."

Just like last year, Food Expo 2006 is expected to attract exhibitors not only from Oman but also from many other countries including Brunei, Germany, Italy, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

"It will truly be an international exhibition that will pave the way for the entry of new food products and more advanced equipment into the sultanate," said Abdullah Beg, Project Manager of Food Expo 2006.
