UM7 launches online division

The UAE has crossed the 30% internet penetration mark and has set the example for the rest of the Arabic countries.

Fadi Salameh, CEO, made two interesting announcements on behalf of Universal Media Seven - the Network;s media arm. The first - the formal launch of UM7 On-line, a division of UM7 that specializes essentially in On-line media planning and buying. The second announcement - the appointment of Fouad Bedran as General Manager of UM7 On-line.

Our investment in an On-line discipline will therefore help us walk the talk by becoming industry experts in one of the fastest growing communication areas - says Jaikumar Menon, Regional MD of UM7.

The penetration in the GCC has surpassed 20% for the first time this year, while it was a mere 4% just five years ago!
