Audi sales climb 27%

Audi Middle East increased sales by 27% to 1,916 units for the first half of 2006, with strong growth maintained in Saudi, the UAE and Syria. The Audi A6 was the most popular model with 370 units sold. The car maker said its recently introduced Q7 SUV made up 24% of June 2006 sales, and is expected to make a substantial contribution to second half-yearly numbers.
