Speaking on the occasion Louis Scotto, Emirates Bank General Manager- Retail Banking said, 'We are happy to be partnering with Sharjah International Airport in launching a service which we feel will benefit both the Airport Staff and travelers. It will offer them a convenient banking hub within the terminal. We hope to satisfy last minute banking needs and enquiries of those about to embark on trips and hence, offering them peace of mind- as well as service those stationed in the terminal. We have seen a tremendous boom in the Travel Sector and have been quick to react to this development.'
Scotto continued to say,
'We constantly put efforts into the enhancement of our relationships with governmental organizations such as the Sharjah International Airport in an attempt to better service the community. Emirates Bank hopes to be recognized as a widely reaching banking channel with a diverse contribution to all areas of the society.'
H.E Dr Ghanem Al Hajri, Director General, Department of Civil Aviation and Sharjah Airport Authority commented on the inauguration of Emirates Bank's new branch at Sharjah International Airport, by saying, 'We are happy that Emirates Bank, one of the most prominent national banks in the country, has become a part of the Sharjah Airport facilities. The opening of this new branch contributes in further corroborating the constant and steadfast progress achieved by the bank over the past few years, together with the increased demand for its distinct services, namely the more diversified, personalized and custom-made products and services that the bank always seeks to provide.'
'The opening of the new Emirates Bank Branch coincides with Sharjah Airport's current, strategic, expansion plans, aiming to increase the use of its facilities, expand on its passenger capacity, increase aviation and cargo activities, in a global attempt to draw around 8 million travelers per year in the future years.', commented Mr. Al Hajri.
Comprising a Currency Exchange Counter, an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), as well as a cash and cheque deposit machine, the Emirates Bank Pay Office is conveniently situated in the main terminal, within the Duty Free Shopping Area. Emirates Bank, the exclusive bank at Sharjah International Airport, offers convenient banking services for both traveling customers and airport staff, which also include the payment of utility bills through the cheque deposit machine for both account holders and non-account holders, alike. The Emirates Bank Pay Office is also staffed with a dedicated customer service representative to handle all customer enquiries as well as process both account and credit card applications.
Emirates Bank also recently launched branches at the Dubai Airport Free Zone and the Sharjah City Center. The Emirates Bank branch at the Dubai Airport Freezone, located in the Transguard Building, serves as a convenient banking facility for Corporate Houses and their employees situated in the free zone.
The Sharjah City Center Emirates Bank Branch will channel banking services to the residents of the neighboring residential areas, vast number of visitors of the Mall, the numerous retail outlets and serve as a handy banking center for staff positioned in the shopping mall.
