Western nations are mobilising warships to evacuate their citizens from Lebanon's battle zone, according to news agencies. The US ordered five warships to head for Lebanon in its first major evacuation of Americans, and Britain said two aircraft carriers were among six of its ships in the region ready to pick up its citizens. Other European nations are sending boats and planes.
