Arabian Adventures goes on safari with new GM vehicle kits
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, July 19 - 2006 at 10:42
- PRESS RELEASE
Destination management company Arabian Adventures has taken delivery of over 50 General Motors' desert safari kits to support its fleet of GMC Yukon Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) used across all its desert driving activities.
Arabian Adventures regularly takes hundreds of customers and tourists into the desert on a daily basis in its fleet of GMC Yukon SUVs and the provision of the kits is seen as another step in supporting that business.
The quality and durable desert safari kits contain all the essential equipment necessary to meet the demands of off-road desert driving. Each kit comes in a hard wearing, easy-to-carry, compact and impact resistant carry case and includes a heavy duty tyre compressor, recovery strap, a pair of heavy duty battery boosters, a tyre deflator, rechargeable flashlight, collapsible shovel and thick protective gloves.
Ramzi Razian, General Motors' Middle East aftersales fleet manager said that the desert safari kits are a great example of GM's commitment to safety and reflects the value dealers and customers place on its excellent aftersales support and service.
"The desert safari kit reflects the great care we take in looking after our customers and providing added value products which enable them to improve the quality and safety of their operations.
"Investing in the kits ensures Arabian Adventures is fully prepared to deal with any difficult situations out in the desert and that it has the proper equipment to ensure the safety and security of customers and drivers riding in the vehicles."
Receiving the first kit on behalf of Arabian Adventures was Peter Payet, manager of Arabian Adventures. He said: "GM has been active in meeting our requirements over the years and this latest initiative is another example of its customer focused approach.
"The kits are impressive and will help to improve the safety requirements of our off-road vehicle operations."
The kits have been supplied to Arabian Adventures through GM's dealer in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, National Auto. National Auto started supplying Arabian Adventures with GMC Yukons for its desert safari operations in 2002 and has been supplying them ever since. National Autos also provides Arabian Adventures with fully GM trained technicians as part of a comprehensive Fleet Smart Service deal, which is supported by fully equipped mobile workshops.
