Jordan desal plant to open

A water treatment and desalination plant with a potential capacity of 40m cubic metres of water annually will open in Jordan by August 2006, according to the Jordan Times. The Zara-Martin project, which cost $125m, will open at 25% capacity. It will supply Amman and the Dead Sea tourist area.
