Interesting start to Cartoon Surprises week

Organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) the much-awaited Cartoon Surprises week runs from July 20 to July 26 presenting an array of fun-filled, entertaining events. The opening ceremony to be attended by VIPs, dignitaries, members of the Organising Committee and the media will host a half hour capsule of fun and entertainment signifying what is in store for the week ahead.

A special stage is being erected in the mall to stage the opening ceremony which will entail dancing and singing performances by well-known artists. Gifts will be distributed to the audiences present at the opening ceremony.
The theme week is indeed going to be very special.

In order to set the mood to welcome the Cartoon Surprises week more than 6,000 gifts were distributed to the public yesterday, one day prior to the official opening of the theme week. The gifts were handed over to the subscribers of the Arabic and English newspapers and magazines with their daily copies, in addition to another 10,000 gifts that were distributed to children participating in the Cartoon Surprises activities.

Other gifts are also being handed over to children and families entering the UAE through the Dubai International Airport on the first day of the Cartoon Surprises Week, as well as to the children with special needs, reporters and DCCI employees.

Being themed on cartoons the Cartoon Surprises week is one of the favourite theme weeks among children. The little ones will have loads to look forward to during the week when they get a chance to be up, close and personal with their favourite characters from the world of fantasy.

Several competitions, contests and workshops are also a part of the week long celebrations. Children's plays with the underlying theme of educative games and fun for the little ones will be staged at different venues during the week.
While the week will be packed with fun, laughter and entertainment emphasis will also be laid on inculcating ethical and moral values among children.

The 10-week long DSS, which opened with the Ice Surprises week on June 21, celebrated the Art Surprises, Food Surprises, Adventure Surprises and continues with the Cartoon Surprises, Nature Surprises, Knowledge Surprises, Flower Surprises, Heritage Surprises, and concludes with Back-2-School Surprises on September 1.
