Qatar delays Boeing deal
- Qatar: Thursday, July 20 - 2006 at 12:24
Qatar Airways says it is delaying indefinitely a $4.9bn order for 20 Boeing 777s due to "technical issues", the Khaleej Times reported citing a spokesperson for the airline. Boeing had published a press release on the first day of the show on its website confirming the order, but it was later removed. Qatar Airways was expected to take delivery of the mix of 777-300ERs and 777-200LRs in 2007.
