- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, July 23 - 2006 at 14:53
- PRESS RELEASE
Dubai Ladies Club concluded a series of meetings with government departments to obtain feedback on the viability and overall benefit of the recently announced Corporate Childcare Centre Project.
Mona Al Marri, Vice President of Dubai Ladies Club said, "The positive feedback to the project from government institutions has been greatly encouraging.
"Since the announcement of the project, a dedicated team at DLC has developed an integrated action plan detailing the phases involved in its execution. The team has also worked on the project design, development budgets, and maintenance processes.'
The benefits of the Childcare Centre Project were highlighted during the discussion between DLC officials and government representatives. Besides enhancing the productivity and efficiency of working mothers, the child care centre initiative is also seen as an opportunity for organisations to demonstrate their values of corporate social responsibility.
Al Marri added, "In the second phase, we shall be conducting a survey to gather relevant details of all working mothers, their designation, job specification, along with their expectations of childcare centres. This will help us cater to their needs, which is the primary objective of Dubai Ladies Club."
The Dubai Ladies Club currently manages a Childcare Centre at its premises, and hopes to draw from its experience of offering services to staff and club members.
The Corporate Childcare Centre, for both government and private organisations, is designed to meet the needs of working women and provide them with facilities to encourage their effective role in society.
Dubai Ladies Club's commitment to this initiative is in line with its strategy to strengthen the position of women in society. It also reflects the Club's focused commitment towards the community.
