DHL enhances leadership position in UAE market with new senior appointments

The leading express logistics provider, DHL UAE, has recently announced two key senior appointments to its marketing and sales team. As part of the new assignments, Neil Kuschel became DHL UAE's National Marketing and Sales Manager, and Bill Pudney was brought in as Strategic Customer Channel Manager.

The move highlights DHL's intention to consolidate its position as market leader in the UAE, where the express logistics leader currently holds over 40% market share. DHL has been offering world-class express logistics services to customers in the Middle East for over 30 years, the success of which, David Wild, DHL UAE General Manager attributes to a strong customer-centric focus and a commitment to providing high quality services.

Wild said: "We are undergoing an exciting period of continuous business growth and the company is developing to adapt to new challenges. I'm confident that Neil and Bill, through their new responsibilities, will contribute significantly to the company's future success and continue to keep us one step ahead of the competition."

Neil Kuschel has been promoted to National Marketing and Sales Manager, accepting additional responsibilities to his former position as National Sales Manager. In his new post, Neil will be managing all activities of the commercial team including those for the marketing department. Joining DHL in Bahrain in 1998 as Field Sales Representative, he also held the position of DHL Abu Dhabi General Manager.

Bill Pudney joined the DHL UAE Marketing and Sales Department after spending four years as DHL Bahrain National Sales Manager. Pudney is now responsible for managing Global Customer Solutions, a customised sales channel that manages the business requirements of an increasing number of customers who market their products and services globally. Under his management, customised global solutions, supply chain management and logistic strategies are planned and implemented. He joined DHL UK as a Field Sales Executive in 1999, a position he held for two years before moving into DHL Bahrain in 2001.

"The new structure maximises the effectiveness of our personnel and resources, and acknowledges the outstanding contributions made by these very talented professionals," explained Wild. "I value their expertise and proven track records and am highly confident in their ability to manage the current and future challenges," Wild added.
