The show, now held for the tenth successful version, is currently known as the leading international trade event in the MENA region since 1994.

ITCE'10 will showcase the latest and most innovative textile & apparel machinery, raw material & accessories, and thus covering the entire spectrum of cotton processing operations, including spinning, weaving, converting, dyeing, sewing machines and garment manufacturing. The show also acts an international hub, facilitating high level networking between key industry experts, which will benefit the entire textile industry in the region.

The textile industry in the Middle East has maintained a steady growth over the years. The clothing and accessories exports from the region amount to more than US$ 11 billion, annually. The Middle East is currently the fourth largest exporter of fashion and clothing accessories in the world, accounting for almost 5.5 per cent of the global trade.

ITCE'10 is being held in Egypt, the centre of the air, sea and road transportation, linking Europe and Far East with African and Middle Eastern markets, thus obtaining a noticeable and eminent global location positioning it as the essence of these markets. Meanwhile, the Egyptian textile industry is one of the most dynamic industrial sectors in Egypt and has been growing at an average rate of over 6.5 per cent annually.

Equipped with state of the art machinery, Egyptian textile industry is among the top ten export industries accounting for approximately US$ 700 million, 14 per cent of total exports. Egypt acts as a link between Europe, Far East and Africa and its textile industry is among the top ten export industries, accounting for approximately US$ 1.5 Billion.

With significantly low wages of skilled manpower and the lowest power cost, may be the cheapest worldwide, Egypt is logically to be the most suitable host for ITCE series, specially after singing the Qualified Industrial Zone (QIZ) protocol with USA that will open up the US market to textiles manufactured in pre-determined industrial zones in Egypt.

'Our promotional plan aims at attracting decision makers from different sectors of the textile industries including purchasing managers, factory owners, dealers, wholesalers and importers of textile machinery from Egypt and neighbouring Arab and African countries.

'ITCE'10 will be a great chance where manufactures & exporters of machinery and industry technologies come together from all over the world at the same time and under one roof to meet the carefully targeted visitors of ITCE. The show will host this year national pavilions from China (25 companies) and Turkey (more than 65 companies), who are all eager to establish more than just agency partnerships,' said Ahmed Gozzi, Chairman of ACG-ITF organizers of the event.

According to the organizers, ITCE'10 is currently witnessing an early competition in space reservation among exhibitors. 'During this year the show will witness about 25% increase in space compared to the last year's version. Such increase is a clear evidence of the loyalty of our exhibitors to the show brand all over its successive versions,' said Wael El Qadi, ITCE'10 Project Manager, expressing his trust in the success of the 10th version of the event.

'The increasing demand of participation creates a challenge for us in order to provide enough space for all interested and potential exhibitors. So, we have figured out creative solutions to provide more space for the increasing exhibitors. Ready-made halls will be built up on site to ad to the exhibition space. Meanwhile, we are currently negotiating with the venue to add 2 more halls to ITCE this year, namely, Canada and USA Halls,' added Ghozzi.

ITCE 2005, witnessed overwhelming response by industry leaders and succeeded in bringing together around 562 companies from across the world to exhibit the latest in textile manufacturing technology and accessories to 24,366 trade visitors, while ITCE'10 is expected to be visited by 28,000 trade visitors from Egypt and regional Arab & African countries.
