MTC Group operations across the Arab world have begun donation campaigns in coordination with non-governmental humanitarian organizations as well as the Lebanese embassies in these countries.
In Lebanon itself, MTC Touch is distributing supplies and basic needs to the citizens who have had to leave their homes in the South or Beirut Suburb. MTC Touch employees are delivering these supplies to schools and institutions housing our Lebanese brothers and sisters from the South and Beirut Suburb in the Beirut area.
Mr. Mohamed Shabib stated, 'MTC Touch cannot stand idly while entire families who have left their homes need basic needs such as food and medicine. This is why our employees are visiting these schools to see what is needed and provide these basic requirements.'
MTC's operation in Kuwait has also launched SMS donation campaign in coordination with the Red Crescent of Kuwait. They are urging customers to send an SMS with the number 9 to short code 9003, with this 1 Kuwaiti Dinar ( approximately $3) will go to the Red Crescent to provide supplies and much needed humanitarian support to Lebanon.
MTC's operation in Bahrain has also launched an SMS donation campaign in coordination with the Lebanese embassy, where customers send an SMS to 1111 again this will include a donation of 1 Bahraini Dinar ( approximately $3).
MTC's operation in Jordan, Fastlink, again has taken the lead in launching an SMS campaign also in coordination with the Lebanese embassy in Jordan. Fastlink in coordination and under the auspices of Queen Rania of Jordan with the assistance of Aramex and Jordan Relief Fund are working to provide Lebanese victims with Humanitarian supplies.
Dr. Saad Al Barrak, Chief Executive Officer of MTC Group commented, 'We have continuously voiced that Lebanon and the Lebanese people are very important to us and that our love for Lebanon is great, so our support is even greater today in this time of need., as such we see the Donation campaigns being carried out across the group as the least we can do in this time.'
Al Barrak added, 'We will not hesitate in providing anything that is needed as this is our humanitarian duty. We hope this aggression on Lebanon and the Lebanese ends very soon.'
MTC Group will also be airing very soon an Ad campaign on all major regional stations to increase the call and volume of SMS donations for Lebanon.
