This contract further extends the availability of Nawras' products and service to existing and future customers with prime locations at City Centre and Makkha Business Centre in Ruwi. The agreement was signed on 12th July 2006 at Nawras Head Office by Mr. Mukkul Shyam, COO of Cellucom and Mr. Ross Cormak, CEO of Nawras.

This is another step to 'get closer' by ensuring that Nawras is located in the most convenient and easy to access spots, throughout the Sultanate. This agreement with Cellucom clearly illustrates the Nawras pledge to provide best service, by presenting numerous points of sale and greater flexibility for Nawras customers, wherever they may be in Oman.

Since launching, distribution channels have more than doubled and continue to grow rapidly. To date, Nawras provides more than 500 points of sale. Nawras can boast the widest distribution channels in the Sultanate and works closely with its Premium Distributors, Matrah Cold Stores LLC, Khimji Ramdas LLC, Gulf Telecommunications Co. and MHD LLC; with Cellucom now forming part of that impressive team.

A leading distributor of cellular communication products and digital devices, Cellucom strives for regional excellence in terms of distribution, while also providing value addition through innovative and proactive customer service. Through careful research, Cellucom has developed a set of value additions, which include insurance, a trade-in facility and buy-back facility along with applications like Arabic dictionary, wallpapers and ringtones.

Cellucom, driven by providing value, believes in customer service at three key stages, namely: at the beginning by offering the right product, during the sale service, and after sale service.

Nawras is committed to constantly enhance mobile services, setting ever-higher standards whilst providing caring support for its valued customers wherever they might be. Supplying easy-to-use services and technology to match the demands of life in an ever-changing world, and best value including the lowest international prices, even lower than a fixed phone line.

Commenting on the signing ceremony, Mohamed Mohsin Baqir Abdullatif, Nawras Head of Indirect Channels, commented, "We are very delighted today to join hands with Cellucom as the sixth Premium Distributor for Nawras. We, in Nawras, are very keen in forming such partnerships. Together, we will ensure to present a unique experience for the benefit of the mobile industry in the country."

Commenting on the alliance, Arun Nagar, Managing Director, Cellucom Group, said that it highlighted Nawras' commitment to ensuring quality service: "Oman is experiencing rapid development in the telecom sector. There is huge potential in the mobile phone industry in Oman, with the steady increase in mobile penetration. Together with Nawras, we look forward to meeting the changing demands of consumers in Oman by offering our range of cell phones and accessories backed by quality service. Our goal is to reach out to our consumers and we are sure that partnering with Nawras will ease our work towards this goal."

Moreover, he said, Cellucom's alliances with other regional service providers, such MTC and Etisalat, would enhance its association with Nawras.

Since Nawras launched its commercial service in March 2005, the people of Oman have experienced a higher standard of mobile communication due to Nawras' many innovations in the Sultanate. Nawras offers best value through its competitive and transparent price plans. Nawras also offers the best quality in the market, through its state-of-the-art network with excellent voice quality, fast and reliable mobile data access using EDGE, being the only operator in Oman to do so.
