Similar to what was done during DSS 2005, E-Vision will once again provide a dedicated TV channel that will be operated by students of Higher Colleges of Technology, with full technical support of E-Vision.
Humaid Rashid Sahoo, CEO of E-Vision said, 'We are very happy to be a part of this interesting theme week 'Nature Surprises Week'. E-Vision will utilize its highly advanced network and technology to make a difference to the activities and entertainment offered during this high-profile summer event in Dubai.'
'We invite all viewers to tune in to channel 333 on E-Vision and enjoy the creativity of the young minds of HCT. This channel will broadcast live from 10 am to 10 pm everyday starting from Friday 28th July up to 2nd August 2006.'
'By showing reruns of the daily programmes, we will set this up as a 24-hour channel, and from 10pm to 10am, viewers will see the same content that was shown during the day,' he added.
'Apart from the dedicated live channel on E-Vision, we have also provided students with full introductory training at our Manipulation & Control Centre (MCC) located in Al Dhaid.'
The dedicated channel will broadcast from three different points. The main studio will be in Galleria in the Mall of the Emirates, a sub-studio in the Mall of the Emirates, and another sub-studio is located at the Modhesh Fun City at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The channel is expected to bring together over 200 HCT students from different streams of specialty, who can practically implement their theoretical knowledge on a live summer project. Such an experience is aimed at enhancing the spirit of teamwork, honing skills and providing them with practical experience while having fun.
