Arabs buy up diamonds

The diamond jewellery market in the Gulf has increased by 47% in four years, with Arab nationals now spending close to $2bn a year on diamonds, a senior De Beers Group official told Gulf News. Diamond jewellery sets, at an average price of $6,000 a piece, make up 55% of diamond jewellery sales.
