The event aims to bring together more than 40 international vendors and around 150 representatives from IT solution providers and enterprise business channel from around the region.

"During the first DBC MEA event (held in 2005), we were urged by the vendors and the channel partners to expand our reach to focus technology to include security, storage and other software vendors," said Farouk Hemraj, CEO for Distree Events. "Our research has shown us that there is a strong need for such an annual event in this region that provides a platform for networking between the corporate channel and the vendors from Middle East and Africa. As a 'by-invitation only' event, DBC gives senior decision makers focused opportunities to network with their peers in a relaxed atmosphere."

At the inaugural DBC MEA event in 2005 inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Head of Fujeirah's Government Electronic Department, Distree Events hosted over 140 senior executives representing corporate resellers, VARs, system & software houses and other channel partners from 30 countries. According to DISTREE EVENTS, the organisers of DBC-MEA, the business partners at the event represent about $3 billion of annual turnover; 86% sell to large corporate accounts, 82% to mid-sized enterprises and 72% to small businesses.

DBC is specially designed for key decision makers from VARs (Value Added Resellers), corporate resellers, system and software houses, and solution providers in MEA, giving them the opportunity to meet and do business with world leading vendors.

DBC-MEA follows the special DISTREE formula — a high-level, full service event in the comfort of a world-class venue. Before the event, resellers and vendors are both given a special user name and password that they use to pre-book one-on-one appointments and boardroom meetings. It is a full service event, providing a well balanced combination of boardroom meetings presented by vendors, prescheduled one-on-one meetings, high-level content from industry experts and networking opportunities.
