Public Relations moves at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha

Marie Cazaux has been promoted to Director of Public Relations at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, announced General Manager, Thorsten Ries.
Marie Cazaux joined the hotel as Public Relations Manager just one year ago. In that time, she has strengthened relations with the media, augmented an effective advertising and marketing campaign and has continuously driven the hotel's vision of being recognized as the market leader for corporate travelers and upscale events in the region.
Marie Cazaux is also responsible for the recent recognition that The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has received, showcasing the talents of all the ladies and gentlemen within the hotel. This has resulted in a number of accolades, most prominently being the 2006 DEPA Awards, which bestowed three awards upon the property, including Middle East Hotel of the Year.
Continuously developing the responsibilities of the Public Relations department within the hotel, Ms. Cazaux is pleased to introduce its newest member, PR coordinator, Ms. Annie Buckley. "As Doha becomes a focus within the Middle East, and emerges as an important destination for both business and leisure companies, it is increasingly important to support and promote its new image. The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, is proud to endorse the city and it is therefore a great pleasure to expand the PR division and welcome Ms. Buckley to the team."
Before coming to Doha, Annie Buckley worked in the F&B department at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, whilst simultaneously training under the PR Director there. Prior to this,she worked at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, a ski resort in the Rocky Mountains, after obtaining an Honors degree in English and Geography and a Masters degree in Sustainable Development.
Delighted with her most recent appointment, Ms. Buckley is enthusiastic about the new challenge that awaits her at the 374-room property. "I am delighted to be joining such a successful Sales and Marketing team and finally putting my training into practice. Becoming a part of this award-winning hotel is a wonderful opportunity for me and it is especially exciting at this time of growth and development within the region."
