du's new corporate communications VP promises market driven programmes

du today announced the appointment of Hala Badri as Vice President Corporate Communications.
"Badri's proven expertise makes her the ideal person to head du's communications function," said Ahmad Bin Byat, chairman of du. "Her talent and experience will be invaluable as we strive for leadership in the region's telecommunications sector."
Badri's appointment is driven by du's corporate philosophy of offering positions of responsibility to deserving UAE nationals.
Welcoming Hala Badri on board, Osman Sultan, CEO of du said, "Hala's strong communications background will be a great asset to us at this critical juncture of developing the business. Her contribution will be vital as we move forward with du's growth plans."
Commenting on her new role, Badri said, "Developing result-driven marketing programs are the need of the hour and I am delighted to be given the opportunity to do so in this exciting and challenging role. I look forward to enhancing brand identity and visibility by leveraging new marketing technologies and opportunities while also advancing du's mission to deliver excellence and innovation."
In her earlier role as Corporate Communications Manager at the Group Brand Management Department of the Emirates National Oil Company Ltd. (ENOC)., Badri was responsible for overseeing corporate communications, building brand identity through sponsorship, exhibition and conference management as well as website content development.
A two-time winner of the Sheikh Rashid Award for Scientific Excellence, Badri has been a high achiever from her student days. The holder of an MBA in Managing E-Business from Zayed University, she also has a Higher Diploma in Communication Technology from the Dubai Women's College and is also enrolled in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Programme for Leadership Development.
Badri is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from Cranfield University, UK.
