Oil climbed above $75 a barrel on Tuesday as Israel ignored calls for a ceasefire in Lebanon and Iraq's troubled northern export pipeline is once again attacked by saboteurs, Reuters reported. Oil markets are jittery at the prospect of Iran and Syria being sucked into a wider Middle East conflict.
