Metro Taxi drivers walk out

Drivers with Metro Taxi stopped work on Tuesday, and threatened a wider protest for Wednesday, saying company promises over pay and conditions had not been met, according to local press reports. Drivers pay the company up to Dhs265 plus fuel costs before taking a fee. The company said a commission-based payment system will be brought in from 15 October.
