Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai appoints Director of Rooms

The award-winning Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai has announced the appointment of Mr. Glenn Nobbs as Director of Rooms for the property comprising of 301 hotel rooms and apartments and 126 serviced apartments.

Prior to his appointment at Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai Mr. Nobbs was the Front Office Manager at Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa in Oman, where he was a key member of the pre-opening team. Reporting to Mr. Rene Egle the Resident Manager Mr. Nobbs has overall responsibility for the following areas; Front Office, Housekeeping, Service Centre, Business Centre, Horizon Club and Health Club.

Originally from Australia Mr. Nobbs' career with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts dates back to July 2003 when he held the position of Front Office Manager at Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, Australia.
Commenting on his recent transfer from Muscat to Dubai, Mr Nobbs said. "I am thrilled to be part of the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai team, this is a very exciting time to be in Dubai and also to be with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
