Bridge to The Palm opens

The Gateway Bridge linking The Palm Jumeirah to mainland Dubai has opened to construction traffic, according to Nakheel. The bridge has two five-lane sections, one leading onto the island the other coming from it. A first phase of villas and apartments is due to be delivered at the end of 2006.
