The renewal agreement means that BIT will continue to benefit from Sabre's enhanced technology services, bookable travel products and distribution services. BIT's travel consultants are already using the MySabre web-based booking tool, which combines traditional products bookable in the Sabre system, such as airlines, car hire, hotels, cruise and rail, with content from the Internet and third-party suppliers.
"BIT has been working with Sabre for several years to ensure enhanced access to travel products demanded by the diverse customer segments we serve across our leisure and corporate business. The extension of our contract enables us to further enhance our partnership with a technology and content provider whose products and services fit perfectly with our growth strategy,"
said Paul Clabburn, Bahrain International Travel's general manager.
This is the latest of contacts Sabre has signed in the region. Other contracts include Kanoo Travel, Al Bader Travel and Tourism, Al Dar Travel, Al Darwish, Al Hidaya Travel, Delmon and National Travel.
''Our partnership with such key players in the industry confirms that our customers truly see us as the most efficient global marketplace for the buying and selling of travel," said Daniel Naoumovitch, Sabre Travel Network Middle East's chief executive officer.
