Saudi land disputes hit market

Land disputes are having a major impact on Saudi Arabia's property industry, reported Reuters. A lack of market regulation and legal uncertainties are causing different parties to lay claim to the same piece of land and, according to rights activists, people are losing out on millions of dollars or even ending up in jail. The kingdom is to introduce a mortgage law later this year to help solve the problem.
