Firm plans $1.4bn Egyptian venture

Qatar-based Barwa Real Estate says it plans to a build a city in the Qatamiyah area in Egypt with Egyptian and Gulf investors, at an expected cost of between $1.2bn and $1.4bn, according to The Peninsula. Chairman Ghanem Saad Al Saad said the company will buy 2,000 acres of land at a cost of $880m for the development. No further details were given.
