Majid Al Toky, an Omani national, is one of most highly-regarded lawyers in Oman and will lead a team of three partners and 17 lawyers. Trowers & Hamlins is the largest and longest established foreign law firm in Oman. The office was opened in 1980.
Majid Al Toky joined the Muscat office of Trowers & Hamlins in 1998 having previously worked in the legal department of Petroleum Development Oman. Majid is a company and commercial lawyer with particular experience of the oil and gas sector, engineering projects and telecoms (having spent time on secondment with Oman's new telecoms operator Nawras assisting on regulatory and operational issues.)
He is a member of the board of directors of the Capital Markets Authority in Oman and Chairman of the Investment Working Group at the Oman Centre for Investment Promotion and Expert Development (OCIPED), a member of Oman LNG Forum (a forum formed to discuss and approve sustainable development projects) and a board member of OPAL, an association formed by oil and gas companies engaged in Oman.
