Mideast unaffected by bomb plot

Middle Eastern markets are unlikely to be affected by the report of an alleged attempt by terrorists in the UK to blow up passenger jets over the US, reported Gulf News. Indeed, the UK's FTSE Index closed only slightly lower on Friday, down 3.3 points, after initially making gains. In the US, shares of the three supposedly targeted airlines, United, American and Continental all dropped by around 7%.
